This is my second piece of my Dragon Anatomy study. This time it's about a dragon's wing's top. This part is usually neglected because it's just a tiny, unimportant detail. But if you work carefully, you will realize that it's anatomy structure needs to be correct as well.
In this deviation I decided to introduce the "hand rule" for dragon's wing: Imagining you are drawing a hand with fingers in the position I described above. I've made the bone structure for a typical wing based on human hand's bones and muscles.
Not all wings have to be drawn seriously like this but it's necessary to know the anotomy structure to avoid misconceptions and silly mistakes in drawing
Like the pervious piece, bones were drawn by blue pen, and flesh/muscles are in red.
